We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Arborist to join our Arb approved team of tree surgeons. Your role will be to assist your team leader on both new and existing contracts whilst working towards becoming an integral part of the team.

Job Description

Working for a successful and expanding rural and environmental contracting company, no day is the same at Maydencroft. Your job will entail:

– Performing aerial tree surgery operations
– Providing aerial rescue support for the team
– Use and maintain our modern equipment to carry out arboricultural duties
– Liaising with clients on site
– Working on new and existing contracts
– Following Health & Safety procedures
– Maintaining personal climbing equipment and inspection records
– Vehicle inspections and other weekly checks

Location:
You will be based out of our offices in Windsor, Berkshire. Projects are usually within a commutable distance, although travel will be required.

Experience Required:

Professional and presentable demeanor with positive client liaison skills
Practice tree knowledge with NPTC units, CS30, 31,38,39 as a minimum
A minimum of one years’ commercial climbing experience
Full, clean driving licence
An ability to follow strict health and safety procedure during the undertaking of sensitive procedure
Previous climbing experience
Workshop experience and on-site mechanical knowledge
Emergency first aid at work, experience and understanding of health and safety procedures and equipment inspection procedures.
Felling of medium and larges trees.
5 Tonne driving licence
IPAF ticket for MEWP
B+E Trailer towing entitlement
Rigging ticket
NPORS or CPCS Excavator ticket

Preferred Qualifications:
City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Chainsaw maintenance and crosscutting
City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Felling small trees up to 380mm
City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Tree climbing and aerial rescue
City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 – Using a chainsaw from a rope and harness
