Job Description

The Role

As a Nursery Worker, you will work with a team of nursery workers to deliver a seasonal array of plants from our nursery in Hyde Park.

Keeping plants at the optimal growing conditions, you will work in an allocated area of the nursery, weeding, pruning, potting on, watering and identifying pests.

You will also be involved in propagation, including sowing seeds and taking vegetative cuttings as well as making hanging baskets.

Additionally, you will:

  • Provide technical and plant advice to colleagues
  • Participate in the picking and despatch of stock to parks
  • Support the production and maintenance of accurate stock records
  • Ensure working environments and storage areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy condition

About You

To be considered as a Nursery Worker, you will need:

  • The ability to work well in a team and alone
  • Good communication skills
  • To be organised, hardworking and a good timekeeper
