Job Description
The Role
As a Casual Learning Officer, you will support the Learning Team on an ad-hoc basis.
Specifically, you will deliver engaging outdoor learning sessions to school groups, activities during family events, and other aspects of the learning programme independently and as part of a dynamic, inclusive, and inspiring team.
Additionally, you will:
- Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and resources
- Adapt to the needs of diverse audiences in an outdoor setting
- Support the Learning Team in maintaining high standards across all programmes
You may also be offered opportunities to provide administrative and customer service support for our adult and family learning events. This will include preparing and uploading event information online, responding to public enquiries about our programmes, and administering bookings.
About You
To be considered as a Casual Learning Officer, you will need:
- Proven experience delivering outdoor environmental education to school groups
- In-depth knowledge of ecology, natural heritage, and outdoor learning
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with a flexible and adaptable approach to unforeseen circumstances
Other organisations may call this role Outdoor Learning Officer, Environmental Education Officer, Education Facilitator, Learning and Engagement Officer or Learning Support Officer.
