Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Team Leader in Horticulture and Landscaping.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, managing and developing a curriculum area (RHS) within the department and will work collaboratively and innovatively with staff to lead a culture of self-assessment and continuous improvement, promoting high standards of teaching and learning within the area, and producing high standards of student achievement, progression and value added. The Team Leader acts as Lead Internal Verifier and ensures all quality assurance procedures are fully complied with. They will actively ensure a high quality of provision in response to student and employer/industry needs and promote new ways of teaching.
We welcome applications from experienced curriculum managers looking for a new challenge and outstanding classroom practitioners looking for their first move into a management position. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering RHS Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture and/or RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth and Development. They will hold a HND, degree, or similar in horticulture or relevant discipline. Experience of working in the Horticulture industry is essential and industry-related competency tickets would be beneficial.
