Salary: £20.83 – £22.50 per hour (depending on experience) – Equivalent to £125 – £135 per day
Contract type: Self-employed (with view to permanent)
Hours: 1–3 days per week (flexible, weekdays only)

About the Role
Horticole Ltd is a well-established and growing gardening company with a loyal client base of around 100 clients across South East London and Kent. We specialise in high-quality garden maintenance and planting, alongside a rapidly expanding garden design service.
We are an environmentally conscious business, actively working to reduce our carbon footprint year on year. We’re now looking for an enthusiastic Gardener / Horticulturist who sees gardening as more than just a job and is keen to continue developing their skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Carry out general garden maintenance including:
• Weeding, mowing, planting, pruning and clearing
• Maintain high standards of presentation and professionalism on client sites
• Work independently and as part of a small team
• Use horticultural tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Identify plant health issues, pests and diseases and apply appropriate treatments
What We’re Looking For
• Strong horticultural knowledge, including seasonal garden requirements
• Experience working in private gardens
• Polite, personable, reliable and punctual
• Excellent time management skills
• Tidy and considerate approach when working on residential properties
• Confident working in all weather conditions
• Good understanding of health & safety in horticulture
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential)
Pay & Working Pattern
• £20.83 – £22.50 per hour (depending on experience)
• Equivalent to £125 – £135 per day
• Working day is 6 hours (not 8)
• 1–3 days per week, weekdays only (no weekends)
Contract Details
• Self-employed role initially
• Opportunity to move to a permanent contract in the future
