Job Description
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead our community engagement and volunteering work, putting people at the centre of our plans. You’ll build strong partnerships, create inclusive volunteering opportunities, support and value our many volunteers, and encourage community‑led activities that help restore nature and heritage.
You’ll support colleagues, champion best practice, and ensure our systems and data are well managed. You’ll work to remove barriers to participation, ensuring underrepresented voices are heard and actively involved.
Drawing on insight and relationships, you’ll help shape strategic decisions and trial new approaches to participation—connecting people with places and creating lasting public benefit.
You’ll also be part of the duty manager rota, which includes opening and closing the site, overseeing fire, security and evacuation procedures, and acting as the main point of contact for staff, volunteers and visitors in the event of emergencies, enquiries or complaints.
