Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Mulch London is a pioneering low-carbon gardening company with over 40 years’ experience transforming and maintaining gardens across the capital. The organisation is committed to sustainable landscaping, using innovative approaches such as electric cargo bikes, local composting, and native planting schemes.

They work closely with partners including PedalMe and Trees for Bermondsey and are leading the way in climate-conscious gardening and urban greening.

About the Role

Mulch London is looking for an enthusiastic and environmentally conscious Cycling Gardener to join their team.

In this unique role, you’ll travel between sites using an electric cargo bike, maintaining and developing gardens using eco-friendly practices. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about plants, sustainability and outdoor work, who enjoys working independently while contributing to greener London communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop gardens using sustainable, low-carbon practices
  • Operate and manage an electric cargo bike and gardening equipment
  • Plan and manage your own daily workload across multiple sites
  • Engage positively with clients and local communities
  • Support Mulch London’s wider environmental and sustainability initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong gardening knowledge and practical experience
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Good level of physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather
  • Confidence handling tools and equipment safely
  • Interest in sustainability and eco-friendly landscaping
  • Ideally based within or close to London
