Location: Highgate, North London (N6 5EH)
Wage: £11,778 (Year 1, increasing if applicable)
Hours: 30 hours per week (shift patterns, 8:00–16:30 or 9:00–17:30); one day training at Capel Manor College
Start Date: Monday 15 September 2025
Duration: 15 months

About the Role
Join Harington Gardeners—a charity-driven social enterprise providing professional gardening services while offering training to young people with learning differences. As an Apprentice Horticulture Operative, you’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining gardens while supporting inclusive social impact.
What You’ll Do
- Work alongside experienced gardeners and support young trainees
- Undertake tasks such as mowing, planting, edging, pruning, and general maintenance
- Care for tools, follow health and safety procedures, and complete admin tasks
- Participate in apprenticeship training, including identifying plants and using horticultural tools safely
What You’ll Learn
Gain skills in plant health, pruning, turf installation, soil cultivation, identifying pests, environmental compliance, and safe use of machinery and tools.
Requirements & Benefits

- NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent preferred
