Job Description

We are now seeking to appoint an Apprentice Marketing Assistant, as part of a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship, to contribute to the implementation of Capel Manor College’s marketing and communications plans. We are delighted to offer the opportunity for an apprentice to gain hands-on experience with day-to-day marketing activities across a wide range of platforms, channels and systems. It will enable you to learn and study, develop a range of core skills and acquire fundamental knowledge, while owning meaningful responsibilities and delivering real impact within your team.

This 18-month programme will provide you with an in-depth introduction to the further education sector, whilst building industry knowledge and professional networks. It will also enable you to take the first step towards constructing a dynamic, long-term marketing career with us. The key responsibilities of the Apprentice Marketing Assistant include assisting in the successful planning and delivery of high-quality marketing activities, with a focus on apprenticeship promotion and employer engagement. Priorities involve supporting the creation of engaging content, assisting with the development of the College’s web and digital presence and supporting with regular updates to the employer section of capel.ac.uk.

The ideal candidate will have some administration experience in a customer-facing environment and a keen interest in marketing and communications, within the education sector. They will have strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. The candidate must have good familiarity with appropriate IT, and preferably some knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. They will also have the ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals and teams, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various marketing disciplines, contributing to and supporting the Marketing and Business Development teams across the full marketing mix.
