Job Description

We have a wonderful opportunity for 1-2 Gardening Team Members/Gardeners to join us in looking after clients’ residential and commercial gardens and grounds. You will be expected to carry out basic gardening tasks while working alongside experienced team members. You will need some gardening experience (not necessarily work-based).  On-the-job training will be provided and we are also highly committed to college-based training and development to grow our team members’ skills and knowledge, including apprenticeships where appropriate.

We need you to be enthusiastic about being outdoors, working in gardens and grounds in all weathers (!), willing to learn basic gardening skills and knowledge and great at communicating with customers and colleagues.

Part-time work is available – please specify in your application if this is of interest and state your availability for full work days e.g. 2 days/week, 3 days/week.

Temporary work is also available over the summer months – ideal for students, in addition to paid work you will build practical evidence of your abilities in support of your college qualifications, make professional contacts who can provide future employment references for you, and grow your self-confidence in a work setting. Again, please specify in your application if you are applying for a temporary role and whether you are available Mon-Fri or part-time.

Candidates must be 18 years old or over.

A car is essential to get to and from the Garden Company premises as we are based in a semi-rural location. Work vehicles will be available during the workday. Your work schedule will take you to North London and around South East England – Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Middlesex.
