Job Description
Capel Manor College has an exciting opportunity for a Horticulture Assessor to join our apprenticeship team.
We are looking for an industry professional with horticultural industry experience to work with our apprentices and their employers.
You will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and assessing Horticulture apprentices. You will prepare and deliver workshops, including the preparation of learning materials, conduct workplace visits and reviews and write progress reviews. You will be responsible for supporting apprentices with topics such as operating equipment and machinery, maintaining plant health, installing soft landscaping such as shrubs, trees, turf and seeds and biosecurity and invasive species legislation.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, be enthusiastic to share this passion with others, and they will have the ability to inspire apprentices of all abilities. Ideally they will have contacts within the industry and a willingness to develop new apprenticeship opportunities amongst employers and help us realise our ambitious plans to become the leading provider of this programme nationwide.
