About The Role and Person
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Capel Manor College and we are now seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Arboriculture to join the Arboriculture, Agriculture & Environmental Conservation department. These include courses between Levels 1 to 3 on Arboriculture, Environmental Conservation and Countryside Management. We also offer shorter courses on issues such as Carbon Literacy and Climate Change.
The Lecturer in Arboriculture will be responsible for teaching and assessing units such as, Plant and soil science, Felling and Ground based operations, Assisting tree climbing and ariel pruning operations, ecology of trees and woodlands.
The post holder will provide high quality teaching on the College’s Arboriculture and Countryside courses and ensure the effective learning of students being taught. This will involve preparing and delivering stimulating lessons, setting goals that stretch and challenge all students, monitoring and assessing student progress, giving feedback and consistently demonstrating the positive attitudes, values and behaviours which are expected of students.
Applicants should possess a relevant qualification in Arboriculture or other associated subject. We welcome applications from experienced Lecturers and from those with relevant industry experience who are interested in passing on their skills to others.
