Job Description
The project:
Full time experienced social value manager to support our Dublin portfolio of projects and programmes. The role will involve working with both internal and external project teams and contractors to deliver social and economic outcomes, working remotely for the client portfolio based in Dublin. You will work in the Mace social value consult team and be responsible for the delivery of social value services including interfacing with the client, local partners and stakeholders, management, and facilitation of social value activities on projects and/or programmes. You will also support work winning, and the delivery of Mace’s 2026 business plan and responsible business strategy.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing client, stakeholders, team member/s and champion career development such that they can work to the best of their potential in a safe and supportive environment.
- Sharing knowledge and insights from the sector, including project case studies and thought leadership.
- Supporting work winning through bid support, development of proposals, innovation, client liaison and external profile-raising of Mace service lines.
- Creating case studies and economic valuation reports using Value2Society tool, share best practice and lessons learned to enable continuous improvement
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of £700M Value2Society, supporting the team in Dublin to monitor and report their contributions to the corporate target.
- Developing key social value documentation to baseline current social value position including local needs assessments, jobs and skills forecasts, gap analysis and maturity assessments.
- Supporting the development of a social value framework and strategy aligned with client ambitions for the programme, including developing social value commitments/key performance indicators (KPIs) to be delivered throughout the programme by the project and supply chain teams
- Accountable for delivering purpose-led and measurable social value outcomes for clients.
- Supporting and managing the development of a social value Implementation plan and technical standards, working with supply chain partners and consultants
- Developing social value performance monitoring and reporting systems including monthly dashboards for the client and programme management teams.
- Providing technical expertise and promote innovation specifically linked to social value, such as social value measurement frameworks e.g. V2S, TOMS system, UN SDGs, EDI etc.
You’ll need to have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to present technical topics in a simple way to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to engage with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels in a collaborative manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to different work environments. Effective problem solver, negotiator, conflict management.
- Ability to positively influence others, creative thinker able to proactively answer questions and identify solutions.
- Knowledge, understanding and expertise of the latest social value drivers, policies and delivery mechanisms. Knowledge of non-financial value reporting frameworks and economic valuation.
- Solid administration and IT skills: advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher. These include diary management, meeting organisation, monitoring and processing people data in accordance with GDPR.
- Be self-motivated, able to self-manage and ability to manage several tasks concurrently.
- Be excited by the role, and the potential positive impacts that will be generated.
You’ll also have:
- Technical knowledge: social value and quantification methodologies i.e. TOMS, V2S, Suitable professional memberships/accreditations (ICRS, CMI Level 3- 5, social value practitioner).
- Ability to learn to use new IT systems.
- Curious, Collaborative, Champion and Contributor: ability to investigate, research, question and continuously improve.
- Presentations skills/story telling. critical thinking/problem solving.
