Job Description
A vacancy exists at the City of London Almshouses for a conscientious, hard-working individual who is capable of working under their own initiative with limited supervision.
Duties will mainly be gardening and estate grounds but will also include some cleaning work to the communal areas of the individual estate blocks.
It is essential to have experience of operating garden machinery, i.e. ride on mower.
General portering duties will be undertaken including delivery of estate mail and assisting with the maintenance and changing of lighting fixtures on the estate.
You must have good customer service and the ability to work with residents.
The attainment of a recognised gardening qualification is not essential but the successful applicant should have measurable experience in this field.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to obtain a Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure.
