Who are you?
- Practical qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in carpentry, plumbing, etc, and hold at least 2 years of experience in a similar field.
- A confident person who can display good people management skills.
- Adaptable to different working techniques with a strong work ethic.
- Experienced using a wide variety of small engine machinery.
- A strong understanding and commitment to health & safety.
- A full UK driver’s licence is required, the ability to tow is desirable.
- RPII Play Inspector qualification is desirable
- Reliable and conscientious and able to work on their own initiative.
A Glimpse into the Role awaiting You
- Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of reactive and planned maintenance jobs, liaising with different suppliers, obtaining quotations, organising materials, repairing, and maintaining parks infrastructure (e.g., play equipment, paths, benches, fences, park buildings, etc.).
- Taking responsibility for the works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors to the site and deliveries.
- Proactively leading by example, motivating and guiding the team and maintaining workforce discipline.
- Operating and ensuring others operate company and hire vehicles, machinery and equipment with care and that daily checks and routine servicing are carried and properly recorded.
- This is a hands-on position, and the successful candidate will be required to set time frames and quality expectations and lead by example.
