This role requires travel across all of Peabody stock in London and the South East.
A company van with a fuel card will be provided.
Your typical day as a Tree Officer will involve managing Peabody’s tree stock, ensuring that tree surveys are accurate and up to date. You’ll collaborate closely with contractors to deliver a tree management programme that meets all legal standards and ensures the health and safety of our estates. Alongside this, you’ll provide expert guidance on tree-related inquiries, conduct risk assessments, and ensure all works are completed on time and within budget.

In this role, you will:
- Manage and monitor the performance of contractors delivering Peabody’s tree management programme.
- Ensure that tree stock surveys are conducted accurately and completed within schedule.
- Proactively respond to all tree-related inquiries from customers, staff, and external agencies.
- Oversee the annual tree budget, ensuring that all works are delivered on time and within financial targets.
- Provide expert guidance on tree health, risk assessments, and tree-related emergencies.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote the benefits of trees and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A formal qualification in Arboriculture (minimum Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven experience in tree identification, Visual Tree Assessment, and managing tree stock.
- Strong knowledge of BS3998 and experience working with tree survey software, such as Confirm Arb.
- Experience managing contractors and budgets, ensuring value for money and compliance with industry standards.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including local authorities and tenants.
- A full clean UK driving licence.
